I had found an amazing blog post about writing a "bootstrap" compiler.
Something that would allow you to rebuild the world (i.e. build a very old compiler than then can builds other languages, etc. )
But I lost the article 😭
Is there a #fediverse #fedihelp person that knows about what I am talking ? I know there is a name for such things and sadly my brain ... well it's fried apparently, I can't recall it.

I think that if we really want to stop #chatcontrol we need to change how we tell the story. On the #fediverse we are a bunch of tech savvy people and we can articulate, understand and also have arguments on technical matters, but the real consensus pools are somewhere else, and they speak another language.
Chatcontrol is like violating mail confidentiality. All regulations of nearly all countries guarantee that letters and correspondence are confidential. This is what should be told to people, that the regulation aims at removing this right. It's like the post office will read and evaluate each and every envelope they receive (and who says that they will not?).

@rabble.nz "boring social media apps" - this part caught my eye. Treat the kids as customers. If they have critical feedback, interesting to learn more. It's not just the medium (video or text), it's also if you/we can express the fediverse in a language that they understand.
Find out their media needs. What they see as must-have-features. Try out your business model with them as customers. Explain your reasons why you do all this and ask them what they think or remember from what you said and what they think about it. Rephrase it. Motivate devs to work towards those needs of kids. Rinse and repeat. Some of them will connect with it and want to have this in their life.
If we want kids to be free on the #fediverse, we must be able to connect them and the #fediverse.
