Hope you can start to understand: nobody in any real terms wonts this, yes it makes a lot of sense to a TINY minority. But it's failed (as been tried meany times in my time) and irrelevant in social sense. This is why the #Fediverse works as a social network and all the #p2p ones do not. There is a long history to this path #KISS
If you won't #p2p to BECOME relevant in the social sense, you need bridges and "killer apps" this is what we are working on with the #OMN

NGL with LinkedIn using our content for AI training (already opted out), I want to leave it BUT I also feel I have to be there coz:
1. red flag apparently if i'm not searchable there for people who want to hire me or collab on projects
2. ability to post about #DWeb / #OpenWeb there so I can show non #fedi folx how awesome it is here on the #Fediverse
3. i cohost, attend, promote #VancouverTech events and I'm meeting a lot of new people coming into to VanCity that want and appreciate being tagged in my picture posts, writing, or basically anything related to food or coffee (my loves) LOL
4. since summer, been volunteering for IRL #grief support / #mourning walks at the New West quay via BC Bereavement Helpline and Tech2Step Canada. With September being Suicide awareness/prevention month, I help spread the message about resources there and hopefully it is reaching who it needs to
Is being on LinkedIn helpful RN? Yes so until someone creates a #FLOSS version, I feel stuck

So apparently part of the issue with #threads is that they moved domain from https://www.threads.net to https://www.threads.com with the result that #fediverse domain handles are no longer obvious and transparent. Kind of screams neglect and don’t care won’t fix.
