If you upload photos from your camera to the Fediverse, make sure to scrub the metadata. If you don't, people may know the exact GPS coordinates of where you took the pic (among other things).
When you upload to big tech social networks, those automatically scrub the metadata. Mastodon also does this as far as I'm aware, but that doesn't mean every Fediverse service or client does it.
