fedizine - eine anarchistische Einführung in föderierte soziale Medien

Seit einiger Zeit ist die anarchistische Einführung in föderierte soziale Medien via @fedizine@kolektiva.social / Fedizine nicht mehr downloadbar. Bis das wieder funktioniert, stellen wir die deutschsprachigen Versionen zur Verfügung. Worum geht es dabei?

"Viele Anarchist:innen nutzen, wohl oder übel, soziale Medien wie #Twitter, #Instagram und #Facebook. Das ist Mist. Es existiert allerdings ein alternatives, open-source Netzwerk sozialer Medien, das an anarchistischen Werten ausgerichtet ist – das #Fediverse. Anstatt eines Aufmerksamkeit und Daten einsaugenden kapitalistischen Strudels, ist das Fediverse ein tatsächliches soziales Netzwerk, welches aus einer Vielzahl dezentraler, autonomer, föderierter Server (sog. Instanzen) besteht. Im Fediverse kontrollieren wir die Infrastruktur und moderieren selbst unsere Räume. Anstatt durch süchtig-machende Algorithmen geleitet zu werden, können wir uns hier auf Basis unserer (eigenen) Neigungen, Wünsche und Bedürfnisse versammeln und Dinge miteinander teilen. Viele Anarchist:innen, die versuchen den Fallen der großen kommerziellen Social Media Plattformen aus dem Weg zu gehen, sind bereits hier und teilen ihre Projekte, Kunst und Ideen. Komm rum!"

I’m on Mastodon because I care about privacy 🔒, but honestly, I’m not getting the most out of it since most of my friends aren’t here 🙃. They’ve got a Facebook group going, so I can’t really quit Facebook yet 📱. Social media lock-in is real, and it shapes how I find info and stay connected 🤝. My community’s stuck too. What’s the easiest first step to changing that? Anyone else feel this? How do you handle it?
