I tried to make @missionlibre it's own #facebook page so I could mirror its account using the API (It's an awful compromise, I know).
I had to make an individual account first, but Facebook demanded a ✨video selfie✨ to manually approve. The result: my account is permanently disabled. _Me_, the human person, can't sign up for FB.
I'd like to thank Meta for their active assistance in helping me live my values when it comes to #freesoftware. Should I send them some flowers or something?

I don’t personally have an Instagram or Facebook account anymore. “Most” people have one. It’s common tor businesses to use one as their only site.
I think “most” people don’t realize that these businesses are now inaccessible to people without accounts. Unless I jump through some internet-fu hoops, I always get redirected to a login screen when trying to view a profile. It’s extremely frustrating. I basically can’t get more details about these companies or interface with them online at all.
I don’t think it was always this way. I think meta chose at some point to add a wall to their tainted garden.
