Was ich immer wieder unglaublich finde:
Behörden, Politiker und Unternehmen sind ja bei #X, #facebook,... um Leute zu erreichen. Dabei kontrollieren Sie weder Inhalte, Reichweite noch "Umgebung" - sprich neben wessen Werbung oder Posts sie oder welche Kommentare darunter angezeigt werden.
#Mastodon und das #fediverse auf der anderen Seite bieten genau das:
Eigener Server bedeutet Kontrolle über Inhalte, Kommentare, Zeitpunkt,...
Hat jemand den Account XYZ abboniert, dann sieht er auch dessen Posts. Kein Filter, Algorithmus oder sonst was.
Daneben können sie per DNS garantieren, dass diese Seite offiziell ist! Bspw. für inkscape könnte man "@ info@ inkscape.org" haben.
Kein blauer Haken kann das ja mittlerweile.
Über sowas wie Interaktionsrate will ich garnicht erst reden.

Mashable: Facebook data breach settlement payments are starting to roll out. “Settlement payments related to the several-years-old Cambridge Analytica data breach scandal are starting to roll out this month, per CBS News. I need to get rid of #facebook it just makes me irrationally angry. Like it's homecoming, and tons of pictures of these girls in these giant things called "mums". It's a #texan thing you'd NEVER find in #wyoming because they are an added expenses that serves no practical purpose. And we Wyo people are not into excess or showing off excess. It's offensive.
