For the longest time the Facebook web site was the definitive place to change settings, etc with the iOS version having less functionality/access.
At some point that changed and now if you want access to all the config settings you need to go to the phone app.

So, continuing past #Facebook, I go to update my #IdMe account. While my previous TOTP app was ok, when I try to use my new one, I get a message from the new app saying that the QR code that ID.Me is displaying is invalid.
I added my YubiKey and browser's PassKey as futher (backup) authentication methods, but still frustrating that, for TOTP, I'm stranded on the other application. Oh: also can't use my "everything" phone number because it's not a number that's associated with a hardware identifier: I use a virtualized phone number because it allows both routing to all of my other voice lines/devices and because it comes with significant call-screaing and anti-spam capabilites (as far as I'm concerned, all my other voice endpoints DIDs don't exist to the rest of the world).

I still have a #FaceBook account, but it's been a WHILE since I've logged in (not sure I've logged in during any of CY2025?).
I'm looking to change my TOTP-based #2FA device/app. So, I'm working through my old TOTP device/app's accounts as part of switching over. I get into Facebook, find the area to change my 2FA settings and attempt to make the switch. I get this lovely pop-up.
It's like, "no, Facebook, you're not going to force me to 'engage' just so I can change my TOTP device/app". Like, seriously: "fuck those guys".
