As a teenager that saw Facebook grow, I have a reasonably large network of acquaintances and family members there. I have not used Facebook since the Cambridge Analitica scandle. Yesterday I went there because a family member gave me a link to it. I was like ah let me go to the website and login and check. After login, thousands of notifications. All about events, hey friend X has a new high score can you beat them?, birthday reminders. There was several attempts to login on my account, all from Pakistan. MFA, with email and security token, they were blocked.
Ok, lets see what my friends published. Page after page, nothing other than posts from half naked AI generated females, people that I do not have on my network, and ads. Is this really what now Meta has become? A graveyard of notifications, ads and AI dumps? I guess its time to actually delete my account. I can reach family and friends directly, thank you.
