I am shilled to the bone.
ICE Agent 1 is credited by ICE Agent 2 for helping them get the job with ICE (personal referral). The two ICE Agents appear to be family. They occasionally talk about their work life, and ICE Agent 1 has been trying to coach ICE Agent 2. It would seem ICE Agent 2 feels conflicted about their job.
Yesterday, ICE Agent 1 contacted ICE Agent 2, who called out of work sick for the 3rd day. ICE Agent 2 goes on saying they did not expect the work to be like this. ICE Agent 1 has been trying to calm ICE Agent 2 and encouraging them to stick with the job. ICE Agent 1 goes on, claiming they stuck their neck out for them, and that ICE Agent 2 should not disappoint anyone by quitting.
The hard part is ICE Agent 1 goes on, implying deaths happen all the time. ICE Agent 1 continues to imply that nothing happens because of them. ICE Agent 1 continues to imply that ICE Agent 2 has nothing to worry about, and it would be best for everyone if ICE Agent 2 did not make anything that happens at work into such a big deal.

The reason why ICE cannot account for everyone is many people are dead.
I learned this today, because an ICE agent was talking with another ICE agent (someone in their family) on Facebook Messenger. The ICE Agent 1 was trying to calm ICE Agent 2. They go on to tell them that this is not the first time something has happened and tells them not to worry.

i'm glad you are building a movement there. personally, i've deleted #facebook #whatsapp & all #meta products bc i don't like funding the fascists who will turn around & use that $ against us. seems inefficient.
i prefer to #boycott fascists & take what they care about most - their $. that's the most effective way to change their behavior
but i understand you have to go where the people are when creating a movement. but i'll just follow you from here on #Mastodon 💙
