More than 100,000 people have joined a Danish #Facebook group calling for a boycott of #US products, with numbers growing rapidly. The boycott targets American food brands such as #CocaCola and #Heinz, as well as digital services including #Netflix, #Amazon Prime, and #YouTube, while citizens turn to Danish and #European alternatives.

The boycott is part of a wider European campaign aimed at opposing what is seen as the American occupation of #Greenland, coinciding with former President #Trump renewing his claims about the island.

The idea has received popular support in #Denmark, and European newspapers have begun discussing the possibility of expanding the boycott, citing European solidarity and local economic benefits.

Rappel : depuis janvier 2025, il est fortement conseillé de rapatrier ses #données en Europe, en France, ou sur un disque dur chez soi.
Les garder uniquement sur un #cloud américain est très dangereux, le risque devient grand de ne plus y avoir accès.

Sans parler des problèmes de protection de la #ViePrivée...

Das überlasse ich, so wie ich es immer tue, jedem selbst.
Dagegen fordere ich jeden, insbesondere von Politik und Medien, dazu auf, endlich Plattformen wie #X #Facebook und Co zu verlassen. Es gibt keine Gründe dort zu bleiben, nur Ausreden nicht zu gehen.

Did Facebook have some promise of being a force for good in the world, yes it probably did. But here Sarah Wynn-Williams shows that they were just lucky to be in the right place with a decent idea at the right time. The brass at Facebook are terrible managers, who merely stumble between bad ideas but then have enough money to push them through or to keep going despite their bad ideas.
