Meta is sharing everyone's account information with the United States Government. — Everyone.
If you have an account within Meta's ecosystem — Facebook, Threads, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger — We just handed over full access and control to the United States. No warrant and no notice. We just gave them full access and the right to pull up anyone, anywhere.

Now that would be some news! Suckerberg could be able to read your messages, yes: also the encrypted ones.
Many people know how I think about Suckerberg, and that I have said for years that he can probably read your mesages. The client app you have to run on your phone is closed source, so you have no idea what it really does. What guarantees you that your encryption keys aren't uploaded to Meta?
Imagine what it would mean if Suckerberg (and thus the US government) can indeed read all that communication! Like the British during WW2 once they had cracked the German Enigma-code...
Have you ever talked about an abortion via WhatsApp? Or about hiring illegal immigrants for some work? Have you ever said you're homosexual and/or trans?
If you want to be sure your communication is secure, you have to be able to trust the software you use. CLOSED SOURCE SOFTWARE CAN NOT BE TRUSTED! If you're not allowed to see what it does, you must assume it does things you don't want it to do. Don't take any chances, switch to a safe alternative!
Signal is better than WhatsApp, but if you really want to be in control, you start using Matrix!

Now I have been completely kicked of Facebook. Again, I am accused of 'Inauthentic Behaviour'.
My main account was zucked. now my 2nd account has been zucked.
Even my partner's account was zucked today because I tried to transfer admin status of one my pages to my 2nd fb account. She had to send a selfie to them.
I did the same for my first account and then a week later fb demanded my personal ID. I sent a photo of that minus personal data. I expect that Fb will not accept it as valid even if I supposedly have privacy protected as an EU citizen.
On my first account I posted photo of my child which are now all gone, even from the folder I shared with my partner. How posting photos of one's child can be 'Inauthentic Behaviour' is beyond my understanding.
I know that one issue has always plagued my fb accounts and this I get punished for support Palestine.
Fuck Facebook, Free Palestine.

We added our Vivaldi Social server to the Fediverse on November 15th 2022. We are still, I believe, the only browser company that is wholly behind the Fediverse. It is something we are very proud of! The Fediverse is the natural alternative to Big Tech social media, just like, IMHO, Vivaldi is the natural alternative to Big Tech browsers.
