In the past 6 days, "facebookexternalhit/1.1" has requested my robots.txt 701,311 times. That's 1.35 times per second around the clock. It's coming from FB's IP range, so it's not someone else masquerading as them.

I ricercatori di Malwarebytes hanno scoperto inserzioni su Facebook che pubblicizzano upgrade gratuiti a Windows 11. I cybercriminali hanno creato siti con design simile a quello ufficiale per ingannare gli utenti. Invece del sistema operativo di Microsoft viene scaricato un malware che ruba password e criptovalute.

Gonna be real, if traditional social media is like smoking, #Mastodon feels a lot like vaping to me: A lesser evil but not exactly good for my health.
I've quit the likes of #facebook and #instagram a long time ago, yet my brain keeps itching for that hit of instant gratification masked as social interaction, so I find myself coming back here every once in a while to try to scratch it. It's certainly better, but it still has too many of the same addictive design elements as other social media.
