I've posted previously about writing a PartyTown integration for Drupal ( hachyderm.io/@abmurrow/1147739 )

But I'd like to let people know that there's some news to share!

The partytown_drupal project is now defunct, in favor of the new partytown module. Drupal.org user rattusrattus reached out to me some time ago and said they were interested in reclaiming the then-unused partytown namespace, and that they had a working module with most of the features I had been working on, plus some new ones.

We've agreed to join forces as co-maintainers of the new partytown module ( drupal.org/project/partytown ). I've merged in some of the features I'd been working on in the old module, and rattusrattus has solved the library sourcing issue that plagued my first attempt. All in all, things are looking good!

We've already released our first dev build, and I'm working on a PR to add atomics support ( drupal.org/project/partytown/i ).

If you're still interested in speeding up your website's frontend, but don't know where else to turn, check out our new module! It may help you solve some issues imposed by Google Tag Manager and extensive use of third party scripts.

IMHO making all security releases public should be a requirement of being an official #Drupal 7 extended support provider. 🔒✅

New! Drupal 11: Controlling LED Lights Using A REST Service

It is quite easy to create RESTful services in Drupal; it just needs a single class. All I would need to do is create a form to control the colour that is selected in the REST service.

In this article we will look at creating a Drupal module containing a RESTful interface, which we will connect to with the Plasma 2350 W to update the colour of the lights.

Wouldn't it be great if a bunch of US and Europe-based #Drupal agencies each purchased a small sponsorship to support this emerging market? 🌍🤝

I wonder what the overall event budget is... 💭💚

For #Drupal site-builders: this is a pretty darn good list of the various tools you can use to optimize images on Drupal sites: 🖼️✨

With Drupal 11.3 out, we've been excited to try it out -- but kept hitting circular dependency errors blocking updates. Each site had a different dependency chain, but all of them ended up with eca_content depending on itself!

Today I took this into a debugger to discover the actual cause - symfony_mailer module, which showed up nowhere in any of the errors. drupal.org/project/symfony_mai

Turns out it's fixed in 2.x beta already, if anyone else hits this! #drupal #eca

@dansup I just explained to a group of junior devs the benefits of breaking a monolithic #Drupal codebase up into packages that we're registering at packagist.org/packages/univers. This has had a VERY positive impact on velocity.
