For those unfamiliar with the Minsk agreements, they were two so-called "peace" deals made in eastern Ukraine in 2014, which many considered laughable, Involving Ukraine and Russia, with mediation efforts led by Putin, France, and Germany.
And up until Feb 23rd 2022, Russia's occupation forces broke the ceasefire everyday & routinely moved heavy weapons into the demilitarized zone - killing & wounding #Ukrainian soldiers & civilians every week. They also routinely threatened, detained and harassed OSCE conflict monitors - and on one occasion actually killed an OSCE member.
So, President Zelensky isn’t interested in another bogus Minsk-3 “peace agreement.”
President Zelensky keeping it plain and simple tonight on peace talks with Russia. "We understand all these challenges now. We know how to act. And we want to warn everyone: there will be no Minsk-3; what we need is real peace."
