I have a #cultural question.
Yesterday, on the way back home, I talked with #chatgpt. I asked it the same question twice.
At first in #italian, and it started with the answer, as expected.
Then in #english, and it started with "That's a great question!"
Is it a cultural thing in anglosaxon countries to praise the questioner first and then reply? As in, do people get upset if they are not praised for asking?

Nach 2 Stunden erfolgloser Suche nach einem Bug habe ich doch mal eine KI konsultiert, ohne große Hoffnung, dass was sinnvolles dabei rauskommt. #chatgpt hat erwartungsgemäß langatmige Ideen hervorgebracht wie ich das komplette Programm umstellen soll. Wobei ich sofort gesehen habe, dass das der Vorschlag nicht funktionieren wird. Dann habe ich die identische Aufgabe an #lumo von #proton gestellt und als Antwort einen konkreten Hinweis auf eine einzelne Zeile bekommen in der die Ursache steckt. Und Lumo hatte recht, Wahnsinn :) Man hört und liest wenig von Lumo: Europäisch und datenschutzorientiert: https://lumo.proton.me

Zum neuen Deal mit dem Pentagon "... will OpenAI laut Altman jetzt noch einmal nachschärfen. Es werde diesbezüglich noch einige Zusätze zu der Pentagon-Vereinbarung geben. Etwa, dass di KI ... nicht zur Überwachung von US-Bürger:innen eingesetzt werden dürften."
Zur Überwachung von Canadiern, Europäern, Süd-Amerikanern und dem Rest der Welt dann aber schon.
Ich hoffe, dass dieser Rest der Welt ChatGPT umgehend deinstalliert, wie schon viele US-Amerikaner es getan haben.

Please, if you don't like, AI tech, don't reply because I use AI as a tool to aid my reading and writing.
I'm currently testing it out as an alternative to #ChatGPT. I'm not prepared to commit anything to #OpenAI given their recent behaviour.
