Каждый раз, когда человечество создаёт очередной инструмент на машинном обучении, оно сперва любуется пользой от его работы, а потом пугается своего отражения внутри. С большими языковыми моделями история повторилась с ускорением. От восторга перед ответами ChatGPT до шока от таблиц, где жизнь человека глубоко неравноценна, прошло меньше двух лет. Звучит странно, но языковые модели предвзяты. У них есть политические взгляды, любимые расы и даже люди, которыми они не прочь пожертвовать. Но обо всём по порядку.

@chrisp as a member of society, I like the #people arround my to have a #job. As a #consumer/#IT-guy it don't like #AI to do the tabulation of my #groceries, cause it will make mistakes, havent you asked #ChatGPT a maths question? It gets it wrong everytime! A normal computer can calculate, cause it's deterministic.

Gestern stand ich vor der Herausforderung, ein #KNX-Telegram in hexadezimaler Darstellung dekodieren zu müssen. Wollte #ChatGPT mal eine Chance geben. Das #LLM hat Schritt für Schritt erklärt, wie ein KNX-Telegram aufgebaut ist, welches Byte welche Bedeutung hat und... lieferte am Ende erwartbarerweise trotzdem ein komplett falsches Ergebnis 🤷♂️

It is always a pleasure to get a well asked question on one of my #Moodle plugins. This question was about my #AIText question type which uses an external #AI #LLM to generate feedback on students free text responses. On a side note I have found #Google #Gemini works at least as well or better than #OpenAI #ChatGPT models.
It was an issue I had not documented until now and as many people use it for language learning, it matters.
