"A researcher has scraped nearly 100,000 conversations from ChatGPT that users had set to share publicly and Google then indexed, creating a snapshot of all the sorts of things people are using OpenAI’s chatbot for, and inadvertently exposing. 404 Media’s testing has found the dataset includes everything from the sensitive to the benign: alleged texts of non-disclosure agreements, discussions of confidential contracts, people trying to use ChatGPT to understand their relationship issues, and lots of people asking ChatGPT to write LinkedIn posts."

I know #Perplexity deserves all of the heat for their scraping behaviors, but they’re so much better than #ChatGPT. I asked both of them for the record of each MLB team over the last 30 days. Perplexity gave a perfectly accurate answer. ChatGPT gave an entirely wrong answer (but sources were right).

Просыпаюсь утром, открываю свой чат с GPT, начинаю увлеченно обсуждать архитектуру нового проекта. Через час диалог превращается в философский трактат о смысле жизни, еще через час - в рецепт борща. И вот, когда я пытаюсь вернуться к архитектуре, модель смотрит на меня как на незнакомца: "А что за проект? Борщ, говорите?" Если очень коротко, у современных LLM есть одна маленькая проблема, они вполне страдают тем же самым “альцгеймером”, что и люди, хоть и причины немного иные (а может и нет) и это конечно не медицинский диагноз, а конкретная технологическая проблема, которое бьет не только по качеству результата, но и по нашим с вами кошелькам :) В итоге, пройдя 10 кругов ада, так и решил наконец сесть и разобраться, а почему они начинают забывать все важные детали, а также можно ли как-то удешевить таки API в подобных задачах?

I wish Mistral #LeChat was good enough that I could use it instead of ChatGPT. Yet it fails on more than 10% of prompts to do anything, besides showing an eternal spinner.
While I'm not a fan of OpenAI, there's no denying that the UX they manage to deliver with #ChatGPT to 700M users is just awesome. Almost every time, it just works. That's a big part of the magic.
I wish European alternatives like #Mistral could compete with this. Yet that would require proper resources to achieve.
