I haven't sensed more anger from fedi towards #bluesky recently. It has always been this way and it's justified imo.
So the renewed effort to get us to STFU makes me think bluesky is about to announce something bad for the decentralized social media community (maybe their business model?) and they want big names on record as opposing criticism so they won't say anything when the moment comes that they really should.

You are not wrong. There has been an orchestrated attempt to "turn down the volume" on AT Protocol centralization criticism, which by extension seems to be being used as a 'hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil' defense of #Bluesky PBC and their current highly centralized corporate social media platform. While it is true that AT Protocol may have potential to be a decentralized protocol, the issues you are raising are valid and they are germane to the Bluesky PBC platform.

@roblen Ich würde sogar so weit gehen zu sagen, dass Feeds privater Blogs, neben ein paar nicht zu plump werbender Unternehmensseiten, mich häufiger und deutlich besser durchs Netz geleiten als "soziale Netzwerke" oder Suchmaschinen es je tun könnten.
Ich bestehe für mich selbst jedoch auf die Nutzung eines #RssReader|s - meine beiden Accounts hier und bei #Bluesky werden so schon mit von anderen aufgedrängten Inhalten und Empfehlungen dichtgespült. Außerdem will ich kontinuierlich die sozialen Laberecken, ganz gleich welche bzw. wo, reduzieren - es ist mir dort lange schon viel zu toxisch.
Mittlerweile muss ich selten im Netz nach Themen suchen. Über die Zeit kam und kommt über verlinkte Artikel etc. ein Füllhorn toller Blogs zusammen, die ich wohlsortiert in den Reader lege.
Ein Feed/RSS ist mir dabei wichtiger als eine Kommentarfunktion - es findet in den sozialen Netzwerken und in Rundfunk und Fernsehen schon soviel "Hör zu - red mit!" statt, dass ich beim Lesen von Blogs gerne darauf verzichte.
Umgekehrt ist es dann aber auch so, dass ich eine Seite, so schön sie auch ist, nicht nochmal besuche, wenn kein Feed vorhanden ist.
Und als (ungefragte) Anmerkung, weil ich immer wieder was davon eben auch in Blogs lese: Ja, Bloggen lohnt sich "noch", auch 2025, und RSS mag nicht mehr prominent aus aller Munde sprechen, scheint aber eine Art Wiederauferstehung zu feiern. Ich hab den Eindruck, es werden über die Zeit wieder mehr Blogs - und Feeds.
Eigentlich hätte nun wohl ein Einzeiler gereicht: Ich liebe Blogs. Und Feeds. 😁
