@fedilore wild. Folks really make their political allegiances known in whom they speak out to defend, and who's suffering they ignore. I met Jay briefly at #DWeb camp in 2019 and it is saddening to witness that like many of the "nice vibes only" cohort in that space, the mission has actually been about defending and promoting hateful people and views.
I mean we already knew that with #Bluesky being a Nazi bar and all, but speaking out directly in defense of a far-right activist seems a more pointed kind of choice.

This was paired with a "Bluesky Trust & Safety" post saying more or less the same with replies disabled. Many people found their accounts suspended/posts removed because their posts were seen as going too far against it.
It has been another day during which Bluesky users are noticing the centralized nature of the platform with the people in charge wielding a stick. This has caused some to take another look at Mastodon.

A third party labeler or feed generator is not part of bluesky. That's the literal definition of the word "third party" after all.
And of course #bluesky and #atmosphere are obviously not synonyms. In the same way as gmail and e-mail are not synonyms. Or #fediverse and #mastodon. Or mastodon and mastodon gmbh.
