I'm up sick tonight, and I saw a post over on YouTube by someone I recently started following there. Because they were apparently banned by Twitter, they asked people to follow their new Bluesky account.
This was my reply:
"Might want to also open up a Mastodon or other Fediverse account. Bluesky is still under a single point of control by power. It has the theoretical possibility of decentralization, but in practical terms that's not going to happen.
Never trust any service which is backed by big money. There will always be a catch."

Das macht mich (wieder mal) ratlos. Deren Account auf #bluesky hat fast exakt gleich viele Follower (na gut, 20(!) mehr) und genau so wenige Reactions (Likes, Retweets, Antworten) wie ihre Mastodon-Posts. Was genau bringt dort also mehr "Reichweite“?
Und zum ewigen „wir haben so wenig Ressourcen“ Argument - Dienste wie @openvibe oder @postiz haben das schlicht mal gelöst?
