I don't like dislike buttons, in general, as a way to calibrate my signal in an algorithm, because I don't think people should be penalized because I do not like something. I am not a fan of shit posting, but that is a preference. I don't like the idea of people being punished for a trivial preference.
On a good note, a thing that I love about #Mastodon is that it is very easy to apply filters to avoid seeing what I do not want to see.
