#Friendica Leider ist das für mich ziemlich kompliziert und ich brauche Hilfe. Wie komme ich zu Friendica und werde Teil davon? Auch möchte ich Freunde von #Facebook mitnehmen, die es ebenso kompliziert finden. Facebook ist da einfacher und ich suche schon lange eine Alternative. Bin schon zu #Pixelfed gewechselt, von #Twitter zu #Bluesky und seit kurzem bei #Mastodon. Habe hier keine Kontakte und weiß nicht, wie ich welche finden kann. Oder wie finden mich nette Zeitgenossen? #neuhier

Twitter added a new feature where you can one-click edit any image uploaded to the platform with AI. It doesn't give any new capabilities since you could always right click an image, save it, and upload it to an AI but making it so much easier has pissed off the JP artist community.
That was enough to drive a surge in new Bluesky sign ups making Japanese quadruple the posts per day and raising it to around a third as many posts as English, up from the pack of every other language which has around an eighth as many.
But, much like when they left for Misskey two years ago, we'll have to see if it sticks or if they will return to Twitter after a couple weeks. #Twitter #Bluesky

Good liveposting thread on the japanese artist twitter migration wave currently under way because Elon decided that every image on X will have an edit button that feeds it to GenAI. Most users seem to be trying out Bluesky right now but there is an uptick in people joining misskey.io for example too.
Could be a reasonably big wave, of course at this point they are rare and seldom result in lasting gains.
