What is the difference between #Bluesky and #Mastodon? Is it mostly just a rivalry thing between both platforms or is bluesky genuinely toxic, as Mastodonians say? I don't know what to believe.

My social media presence continues to decline. Just deleted my Bluesky account, so that just leaves me on Mastodon. I'm not that active, but it just feels better here. Sunny Garden just sounds a good place to be

This morning Chris Alemany has a poll up asking when you think #Bluesky will shut the door on free flowing expression either by being bought by billionaires or catering to their crypto VC owners.
This should be a real concern. We are headed to a crucial mid-term election. Should this pivot happen this summer it will cripple Democratic campaigns at a pivotal moment.
We need to be smarter than this. Pack your social media 'go bag'. Start building a Fediverse presence before it's too late.
