Just Deactivated My Bluesky Account
So, now that I am set back up on the fediverse via WordPress, I went ahead and deactivated my Bluesky. I will be very honest, it is not because of the politics going on. Regardless of the politics, I do not like the people over there, I am not a fan of image board culture, and porn gets very boring. The people over there annoyed me.

I mean, attaching the old generated did to a newer bridgyfed account (say you changed fediverse instance and you have all your followers on the first one)

When I see that photog really suggest #Threads over #Mastodon and #Bluesky it’s clear to me that they can’t differentiate between clicks and meaningful reach. They’re so dependent on algorithms — probably because they can’t understand that non-algorithm platforms are no one way streets.

Abuse on mastodon is masked by your instance handling moderation better than other bigger instances. Where you see nothing because those users are pre-blocked for you, users of larger instances so lots of abuse in the comments
Bluesky is rife with censorship that disproportionately affects marginalised people, see the linked post above for a few examples

@MaxG If you want more of something you should post it yourself, upscrolled will end in tears, especially their "we dont moderate on political bases" is a red flag that they will basically go the same way as bluesky. In case you didnt know, "politics" is used in this context to allow people to continue abusive or harmful behaviour that the moderator doesn't consider "political" and then those that speak out against it are considered political, I can't get into the entire history of similar cases right now but I've posts about problems with bluesky and I predict many of these will happen on upscrolled
Its basically got the same red flags as "free speech" enthusiasts
