just saw that @taylorlorenz is on #bluesky and had an idea. afaik she really thinks fedi is the way to go. she could only post here but then use her bluesky account (once bridged) to boost those posts over there. maybe with a note that if you can't see it, you should bridge to fedi. that would give her most of the reach of bluesky but also push people there to bridge here or just use the fedi instead. same with other writers who don't hate bluesky but have a strong preference.
just an idea...

Great article but I don't think we'll have a moment where #bluesky is sold or most people agree that they've gone evil. That's why just having an exit isn't enough. For that to work, most of the people you want to connect to have to agree quickly. Or when many start to leave, the original network can't turn off federation and lock-in the majority who haven't left yet.
The good people at BS could end this fear by making clear their monetization plans today.
