Bluesky has a lot of political and journalist folks I like, but is hostile to non-party streams of thought. Mastodon has a lot of tech folks I like plus features I like that Bluesky doesn't have. I've used brid.gy to link my Mastodon account, but I'm having difficulty finding Bluesky folks who have bridged their accounts.

Someone kindly replied to me that it's some bug with the style of my hashtags and I'm not alone. So hopefully just a temporary problem. I gave it 24 hours before I said anything - because I've experienced shorter hashtag issues before, typically just 2 or 6 hours.

Apparently Bluesky has banned my hashtags. They now simply do not work. It's been ongoing for 24 hours. I don't know if they put me on some hashtag-ban list or if it is some new optimization to eliminate all hashtags that only one person alone creates.

Correction: Bluesky's tag index isn't fully down. Existing tags (#イラスト, #bluesky) return results normally. The issue: new/rare tags fail to appear in tag search. Plain text search still finds them. Likely a stall in new tag registration, not a full index failure. $ATOPR
