So, is down. Sure, any service can glitch out once in a while, so it might be useful to have backup accounts, both on and on .

I just shared a @loops video ( @ajsadauskas ) from the notes section of my #Ghost blog ( @aj ).

Screenshot below.

Possibly not a usecase that @johnonolan or @dansup had in mind when they created their apps.

But it's totally possible, thanks to the magic of #ActivityPub and the #Fediverse.

The difference between XMPP and ActivityPub, explained through the Blog feature 🗒️✨

Movim provides a quick comparison between the two protocols and shows how blogs work. Wow, this makes so much more sense than ActivityPub tbh. There's also a good example of XML strength: embedding an Atom feed in XMPP messages.

@Castopod

would it be possible for podcasts to be built on #ActivityPub in addition to RSS, and for podcatchers to process it? then each episode would be its own AP item and we could boost them directly, not just link to them. I feel like that would open up a lot of other possibilities too. #podcasting2

Trying something new. Disconnected my Mastodon instances from Jetpack Social and am using a plugin I wrote to auto-boost from my site’s ActivityPub feed to my Mastodons. #wordpress #activitypub

After months of struggling with the “zombie post” issue on Hackers' Pub—where deleted posts wouldn't disappear from remote servers—I had a sudden hypothesis today. As I dug into it, I realized it's a structural issue with Fedify's MessageQueue system: Create(Note) and Delete(Note) activities can be delivered out of order, causing remote instances to receive Delete(Note) before Create(Note).

The fix will likely require API changes, so this will probably need to wait for #Fedify 2.0.0.

@frank for those wondering, the double image issue has been addressed in the development version of the plugin, so in the near future the doubles should be gone :)
