New #DrupalCon Chicago blog post! Lots of cool pics, talk about contribution, community, and what's next for Dripyard #Drupal
https://dripyard.com/blog/dripyards-drupalcon-chicago-wrapup
So prices for 2026 #DrupalCon in the US were: $575 for early bird, $700 regular and $850 for "late". All tickets over 20% cheaper across the board.
But in Europe: 650€ for early bird, 895€ for regular and a whooping 1165€ for "late". The only thing cheaper from Vienna 2025 is early bird.
This is for a conference that does not pay accommodation or travel to speakers.
Thanks to the licensed model I guess, private companies must profit from the #Drupal European community.
This is one of a series of blog posts that Jacob Rockowitz has been writing about his foray into using AI for #Drupal development:

He is doing a great job communicating all the challenges and emotions of his journey - well worth reading, IMHO. 🤖💡📖👏
I think I might be getting ready for an entirely different work direction, as the #webdev #drupal market seems to have died.
It's been too long since I've had meaningful work, however need to find a new direction that pays enough to keep things afloat at home.
While I love the thought of flipping burgers or making coffee, I'm just not sure they're financially sustainable.

New! Drupal 11: Building A "Load More" Feature For Paginating Nodes Using HTMX
In this article a controller action is created to load some pages of content to display them as a list.
New items can be appended to the existing list using a HTMX callback, creating a load more feature.

Is anyone interested in helping to bring the #Drupal credits system to the broader open source community?
https://www.drupal.org/drupalorg/docs/marketplace/contribution-credit-weight-and-impact-on-ranking
The idea of the credits system is to give credit to individuals/organizations for their code and non-code contributions to Drupal. Their system is, however, open source and reasonably extensible (f.e. to plug in other code and issue solutions).
The end goal is to create transparency to help steer customers towards organizations doing meaningful work with upstream.

A worthy alternative to #Drupal Canvas? I think it might be! 🎨✨

This announcement about removing migration modules from #Drupal core took me by surprise a little bit, but it makes sense after I thought about it for a few minutes: 🤔💡

Wrote this 3+ years ago about the FL/Disney bullshit, but it still feels relevant given the (justifiable) feelings this week in the #Drupal community. I know this isn’t a 1 to 1 comparison to today but the sentiments shared here are stronger than ever. If you are able to find the courage to come to Orlando for #DrupalCon, I firmly believe you’ll find more love than hate.
I have an idea, #drupal
Let's all make noise that Drupalcon 2028 should be in Idaho.
After all, they hate trans people as much as Florida, Kansas, and Texas.
